Mozzarella

Along with Parmesan, mozzarella is about the most famous Italian ingredient for pizzas, pasta dishes and all types of Italian recipe! Mozzarella is a semi-soft cheese originally from the south of Italy and is traditionally made from buffalo’s milk.

Probably the most popular use for mozzarella cheese is in the classic Italian ‘tricolore’ salad where it’s eaten with sliced beefsteak tomatoes and basil but you can also use sliced avocado. Don’t forget a generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and some warm ciabatta!
